Today, there was a representation from Cure Childhood Cancer Ghana (CCCG) at the national launch of World Cancer Day as a representative of the Childhood Cancer Society of Ghana. It was purposively held at the Teshie Community Centre, under the theme “Closing the cancer care gap: community action for prevention and early detection.”
We were honoured to stand alongside a survivor of childhood cancer and the inspiring Early Detection of Childhood Cancer Club from Family Health University.
Today’s launch was a strong call to action, highlighting the urgent need to strengthen community mobilisation, promote early detection, and reinforce clear, timely referral pathways so no child is left behind.
Together, communities can close the cancer care gap.
