A key stakeholder and partner in the care of children at the Paediatric Oncology Unit of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Fairway Cares Foundation, has done it again.
Our partnership with Fairway, which began a year ago through the efforts of Cure Childhood Cancer Ghana (CCCG), continues to strengthen the support system for children undergoing cancer treatment. What started as a shared commitment has grown into sustained impact.
This year, Fairway Cares Foundation increased its sponsorship from GHS 50,000 to GHS 100,000, alongside a generous donation of essential items including toys, groceries, beverages, and other care supplies—bringing both relief and joy to children and their families on the ward.
The donation exercise was made even more meaningful by the presence of Fairway Cares Foundation CEO, Maya El Dowi, who personally joined a Father Christmas, along with her son Ali, to share items directly with the children and their parents. The moment was a powerful reminder that compassion, when combined with action, can transform hospital spaces into places of hope.
As an entry point to the Paediatric Oncology Unit, CCCG remains committed to mobilising resources, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring children receive the care and support they deserve.
We are deeply grateful to Fairway Cares Foundation for standing with our children—consistently, compassionately, and wholeheartedly.
